Bird Park
'Jardins de Las Aguilas'. A fascinating display of birds of prey. In a lovely setting with spectacular views in Benalmâdena Pueblo. Open every day - 65 256 8239. Also in the town centre of Almuñecar 'Lori Xexi? a bird park with parrot shows etc.
Hot air ballooning

Bull fighting
Watch for the giant posters in all the relevant towns such as Mâlaga, Nerja, Fuengirola, Mijas, Torremolinos, Marbella, Ronda and Granada, normally held on Sunday evenings.

In Fuengirola, behind the bullring. The only zoo in the Mâlaga area. Open every day from 11am.
Horse riding
There are many equestrian centres all along the coast as well as inland, some with exhibitions, and some offering all day excursions. Available in Nerja, Frigiliana, Mijas Costa, Benalmádena Costa, Tarifa, Marbella and Estepona.
Boat trips
From most of the pleasure harbours up and down the coast, a variety of short trips and mini cruises are available. Also deep sea fishing and boat hire.
